Donor Spotlight: Tim & Sue Eberle | The River Food Pantry

As longtime residents of the Elvehjem and East Buckeye neighborhoods, Tim and Sue have been supporting The River for nearly 6 years. They first discovered the opportunity through their son-in-law, who regularly works with communities in need.

As vocal advocates for The River, Tim and Sue make weekly deliveries to The River with donations of food, egg cartons, paper bags, and other necessities, which they collect from 100+ regular supporters that they have recruited. They utilize social media to connect with their neighbors by placing a donation box outside their front door for all to conveniently drop off. Their group on the app Nextdoor, entitled “The River Food Pantry drop off location – East Madison,” has already gathered at least 600 supporters from the Elvehjem and East Buckeye areas.

Neighbors are proud of the Eberles for providing an uncomplicated way for their community to donate, and they are happy to share their resources and time, stating “we don’t have everything we want, but we have everything we need.”

Thank you, Tim and Sue, for supporting The River in such compassionate and innovative ways!
