Feed The Need ’17 | The River Food Pantry

Fun At Feed The Need

Feed The Need was a huge success, raising $40,000 for The River Food Pantry!

Over 400 attendees visited Madison College’s new culinary space on Sunday April 2nd to enjoy local flavors from 19 Madison Originals restaurants, distilleries, wineries, and beer from Ale Asylum. Music filled the space thanks to Sortin’ The Mail, Cliff Frederiksen, and Erin Krebs Duo. Attendees also got to enjoy a wine pull, 50/50 raffle, a tour of the new state-of-the-art culinary facility, and thanks to Madison Originals, a live auction basket with a value of $900! Special guest Kyle Cherek, host of Wisconsin Foodie, walked the room taking photos and enjoying the delicious flavors.

Money raised will provide 3 months worth of food at The River Food Pantry. The River distributes 192,000 pounds of food every month to roughly 2,600 Dane County families struggling to put food on the table. Each month, The River also distributes roughly 2,400 lunches to children and teenagers directly in their neighborhoods on non-school days with our mobile lunch program-MUNCH

Raise a glass. Raise spirits. Raise awareness.
