Join the fun at FUN ON ICE!
Back by popular demand, lace up your skates and join us for an afternoon of winter excitement on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 1:00 – 3:30 p.m. The River is hosting a family-friendly FUNdraiser on the ice of Lake Monona at The East Side Club on Monona Drive. NBC Channel 15 weekend anchor and winter weather guru, Amy Carlson will be the event’s emcee.
The Old Fashioned is providing chili and mac & cheese, Good Food Madison will be serving homemade soup, and River Bakery treats will be available for sample and for sale. Bucky Badger will hit the ice at 1:30 and DC Eagle from The Madison Capitols will arrive at 2:15. The UW Marching Band has also been invited! We will even have ice skates available if you don’t have a pair.
Tickets will be available for a pick-a-prize raffle with a chance to win great prizes from local businesses, like Hotel Red, Fontana, Sconnie apparel, 5th Element Coffee, and Starbucks in Monona. If you have something to donate, please contact Hannah Becker, hannah@riverfoodpantry.org.

The River would like to thank volunteers Mary Zinn and Helen Jones for planning this event. Over $2,000 was raised in 2015 with 200 attendees. Our goal is to raise $4,000 with double the attendance.
