Dear Clients,

The River CANNOT allow lines of vehicles on Packers Ave or in our parking lot before our curbside distribution begins. The soonest you can begin forming a line is 15 MINUTES before we open (see hours at www.riverfoodpantry.org/hours).

Reasons why we NEED your cooperation:

• To protect the safety of anyone on the road: When people line up before the entrance opens, they can block traffic, causing lots of issues for others and potentially causing accidents.
• To prevent The River from stopping operations: The River currently rents a warehouse in a shared space with multiple businesses using the same driveway and parking lot. When people block neighboring businesses, we risk causing issues with our landlord, which may affect The River’s ability to continue operating.
• To prevent you from getting citations: The City has put up “No Stopping, Standing, or Parking” signs on Packers Ave because of these lines. These signs MUST be followed. If vehicles continue to line up on the curb, parking enforcement may give tickets.

The River works hard to offer a full menu of the same grocery items and to-go meals all day long. Whether you are the 5th person in line or the 105th, you will have access to the same menu.

P.S. Here’s another reason to come later in the day: While we do not always have “bonus” items available, if we do, they will be offered after 11 am on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and after 1 pm on Wednesday. Bonus items could include a variety of miscellaneous items not listed on our grocery menu.
