HOPE Holiday Food Drive 2022

As inflation takes a toll on us all, a holiday meal will be a luxury that thousands of our Dane County neighbors will not be able to afford, including Matt and his four young children.

As costs rise for food, gas, and other essentials, this single father is doing everything he can to stretch his paycheck to provide for his family. The reality is that Matt is one of many in our community who are having to choose between paying their bills and feeding their families.

You can help. By sponsoring or supporting The River Food Pantry’s HOPE (Help Other People Eat) Holiday Food Drive, you will not only provide nutritious food to fill bellies over the holidays, you will help our food-insecure neighbors celebrate the season in ways that bring hope.

With your HOPE donation or sponsorship, you will help provide a bountiful variety of holiday groceries and freshly prepared holiday meals for a local family in need, like Matt’s.

“Times are tough,” said Matt. “But with help from The River, there is a light at the end of the tunnel because I don’t have to worry where my kids’ next meal will come from.”
